Photon Energy announces the signing of an EPC contract for a 7.61 MWp PV power plant

The Management Board of Photon Energy a.s. announces that on 30 July 2010 its fully-owned subsidiary Photon Engineering s.r.o. signed a contract for the turn-key construction of a 7.61 MWp photovoltaic plant in Brno-Tuřany (South Moravia region) in the capacity as main contractor with OHL ŽS, a.s., the project's general contractor which also provides the underconstruction for the plant. This 7.61 MWp plant is part of a total project located next to the Brno International Airport of up to 20 MWp, which is scheduled to be built and connected by year-end 2010. The plant built by Photon Engineering s.r.o. is scheduled for grid connection and hand-over to the investor BS Park II. s.r.o. by the end of 2010Q3.

The total contract value is CZK 461.166 million (EUR 18.6 million, PLN 74.5 million) and thus represents the largest single project to date signed and realized by Photon Engineering s.r.o. The plant will consist of approximately 33,000 Tianwei New Energy polycrystalline modules and 13 Solaron 500 central inverters produced by Advanced Energy.

This contract further strengthens Photon Engineering's position as a major EPC contractor in the Czech Republic and it will serve as an invaluable reference for Photon Energy's entry into new markets. In financial terms the contract covers approximately 25% of Photon Energy's consolidated full-year revenue forecast for 2010.

Photon Energy and its board members are unrelated to the principals of OHL ŽS, a.s. and BS Park II. s.r.o.
